A TV parody with songs based on well-known fairytale motifs tells the story of Decibella, the daughter of the black priest Ramus, who has only one desire: to perform with her band Pazvuka at the royal castle, to charm Prince Cinderella, whose passion is songwriting, with her music and to become his wife, the future queen. She has no idea that the prince has already been charmed by the song of the poor Goldilocks and takes great offence when the prince banishes her from the palace with her cacophonous music. Out of revenge, she begs her father to curse the whole country out of singing and music. Goldilocks, with the help of the fairy Echoes, finds the enchanted tones and helps Prince Cinderella to get the music back from the Black Prince for the people.

The drama called I Love, You Love was made in 1980 but because of the absurd ideological ban, the film entered cinemas nine years later. Pišta is an unmarried man who works at a freight wagon which carries letters and parcels. Alcohol helps him to overcome his handicap of being short and not good-looking. He wishes he had a woman, but the woman he really wants, ageing Viera who reloads the cargoes, has a soft spot for another man. So, Pišta has nobody and nothing, except for senile mother who sometimes fails to recognize him. The film received Silver Bear for Best Director at the International Film Festival in Berlin.

Nebojsa was the nickname given to a young man who was not afraid of anything. One day he heard that a cursed princess lived in a castle. Whoever could uncurse her would have her as his wife and half the kingdom. Dear Nebojsa went out into the world to try his luck. He experienced many adventures until he reached the goal of his journey. But the greatest danger awaited him in the mysterious castle. If he wanted to uncurse the princess, he had to fulfill a difficult condition: no matter what evil was done around him and to him, he was not allowed to reveal, even with a word, that he was afraid. Well, he certainly wouldn't be Nebojsa if he didn't fulfill this task. And so he won the princess and the kingdom.

A group of drivers paid according to their performance are struggling with hard work in a large quarry, somewhere where foxes say good night. A new worker, Marek Orban, joins the team of foreman Peter Hotka, known as Maco. Deep down, he is a deeply moral person, although he was given a suspended sentence for bodily harm. He beat up his wife's lover, to whom he must also pay compensation. Marek hides this from the other members of the group because he is ashamed. Maco, out of friendship with Marko, attributes non-existent trucks to the group, which, of course, backfires. However, the team eventually shows its strength and works off the undeserved reward.

The tragic fate of a mentally disabled girl with the mental capacity of a child, who is taken in by her older brother Ondrej after her mother's death. Ondrej resolves complicated and disharmonious situations in their coexistence by telling various stories.

The rich farmer Shrnej is such a miser that he won't even marry so he doesn't have to support his wife and won't even allow his servant to do so. He uses his wits and comes up with a ruse - when the farmer goes to town, he sees a girl at the crossroads who sings that she doesn't eat or drink, that she only lives on air. That would be a woman! A hard worker and she wouldn't cost him anything! And so the farmer marries, unaware that he's marrying his servant's sister, who makes a living like everyone else. It's only when he thinks she's been roasted by him that he begins to suspect her. But wherever he hides so he can follow her, he pays the price, and almost loses his life...

Television adaptation of the novel by the Italian writer Italo Svevo. His hero is Zeno Cosini, the son of a merchant in Trieste. He is a type of useless person, defeated by life and incapable of action. The ironic insight with which the author draws a picture of the townspeople of Trieste at the turn of the century sounds like an accurate diagnosis of a social class that is doomed with its entire lifestyle and morality.

A film adaptation of the novelette of the same title written by Dominik Tatarka depicts the life of a young generation of artists that was formed in Slovakia during the war. Anabella, a young and beautiful girl meets a group of artists. She awakens their erotic desires but also pure feelings of love; she becomes the object of their secret fantasies as well as their artistic inspiration. And it seems that the boundaries between reality and fantasy suddenly cease to exist.

This is a reconstruction of the daily life of an ordinary family. With kindness and gentle humour, the film reveals the relationship between the older and the younger generation. The original concept of a short film study with authentic characters of the Ravager family grew into a feature-length picture on the border between a documentary and fiction. It was made as an improvisation without a previously approved screenplay in the course of only twenty days.

A Slovak detective story set in contemporary Bratislava and featuring ordinary people with their own everyday problems. The violent death of Olga Holešová places them under heavy suspicion of murder. A series of strange coincidences and circumstances complicate the investigators' work. A story of two old friends, who after ten years - one as the deputy director and the other as the chairman of the party organization - meet on a large construction site.

A group of children discover the new continent of the world, uninhabited by adults. Soon, many other children are joining them in that new paradise, leaving their parents and other adults baffled on all remaining continents.

A dramatic story about two friends - fisherman Richardus and municipal executioner Emil Targo takes place at the river Danube, in places that used to be targets of Ottoman raids. But their attraction to the same woman and Emil’s betrayal change their indissoluble friendship to an equally strong hatred. And as it usually goes - after twenty years by a trick of fate Richardus’ daughter Agajka becomes the wife ofthe sun of his sworn enemy.

A classical ballad motif about an aging father and his three daughters is quite unusually here set against the backdrop of Czechoslovakia of the 1950s. After having been expropriated, the former landowner Majda seeks refuge with his three daughters whom he had sent to a convent a long time ago. But only the youngest one is able to forgive him and she is willing to take care of him despite the threat of expulsion from the order.

Three soccer fans are determined to do literally anything to get to the soccer match between Czechoslovakia and the famous representation team of Brazil. Reaching their goal to see the dream match live cannot he precluded neither by a sudden work task nor family obligations. However, there is one more obstacle in their way: for some time, their enthusiastic behavior during soccer matches has been monitored by the police. This time, it will not be easy for them to get to the stadium.

Three friends, Emil, Vrabec and Mišo, spend every Sunday playing the lottery, each nursing a personal dream: Emil wants a Jawa 250 motorcycle, Vrabec hopes for a Pionier scooter and Mišo imagines funding a world tour. Frustrated by constant losses, they decide to maximize their stake in the next draw, convinced that more money will tip the odds in their favor. To determine who will have the right to win her affection, the friends agree to draw lots, putting their bonds and ambitions to the test.

At first, they think that engineer Kovalský stole them and fled with them across the border. Slovak movie is based on the novel by the prominent representative of Slovak prose František Hečka, who was in 1952 awarded the State Prize. The novel and the movie successfully capture the development of Slovak village after the liberation in 1945. The narrative is centred around the characters of the old Púplava, who after the liberation begins to organise a new village life, and his struggle for the construction of settlements Mrzáčky, burnt by the fascists. It is centred around the conflict, greatly reflecting the situation of the countryside at this time: the conflict between the rural poor and the rural rich. In the movie, a rich personal and emotional life of other heroes pulsate besides the main storyline. The movie ends with the final defeat of the reactionary forces by Communists in February 1948, taking over all power in the state of workers and peasants. - "The Wooden Village" is released in celebration of the 7th anniversary of the Communist February Victory.

This drama from the times of Slovak National Uprising is situated in a small Slovak village. It is the tragical story of a widow and her four sons who fight alongside the partisans against the German occupants.
