Ugla Hauksdóttir

Top volcanologist Anna Arnardóttir faces two disasters at once: a volcanic eruption that threatens the safety of the capital city and a love affair that could destroy her marriage.

Five-year-old Sól and her father live in an isolated house by the sea. Sól spends lonely days with her imagination while her father, a composer, struggles with his music. When Sól senses that her father is burdened by sorrow, she finds solace in an old Icelandic folk tale.

Vera is a young woman who has no memories of her mother. Her desperate search for a mother image merges with her own search of self as she inevitably makes an attempt to define the boundary between herself and a mother she never knew.

A lonesome boy who has just moved to a small fishing village loses his innocence as a mysterious girl he just met has a tragic accident.

A lactose intolerant dairy farmer takes revenge on his overbearing father after being wrongly accused for breaking the milk tank.

Adapted from the Flannery O'Connor Award-winning short story by Mary Hood, How Far She Went takes an unflinching look at family, personal sacrifice, and the lengths we will go for those we love.
