Paul Exben is a success story – partner in one of Paris's most exclusive law firms, big salary, big house, glamorous wife and two sons straight out of a Gap catalog. But when he finds out that Sarah, his wife, is cheating on him with Greg Kremer, a local photographer, a rush of blood provokes Paul into a fatal error.

A man who lost his memory finds himself in a small town cafe. The waiter and two guests, a blind woman and a journalist, all try to help him find out his whereabouts by sending him to the police station. Meanwhile they discuss whether the stranger is a scoundrel or does he really have amnesia.

In a small village of Prchevo in 2006, Montenegrin independence referendum takes place. But in this part of the world, the locals hide American citizen of distant Montenegrin ancestry, in order to make him "their man" against Montenegro's independence. USA looks for its citizen through NATO troops, and the air raid on Prchevo is about to begin.
