The first half of this film portrays the experiences of a young northern mainland Chinese woman (Fan) temporarily working as a sex worker in Hong Kong. After her 3-month visa expires, the second half of the film focuses on Yan's return to her family and her ex-fiancé in Northeast China and the ways that she invests the money that she has earned.

While possessed by an evil spirit, a man murders his daughter. A police detective investigating the case also becomes possessed. A good monk helps fight the evil spirit.

Top actor Zheng Zhi (Shin) and Nina (Gillian Chung) are starring together in a movie about a poor man romancing a rich girl. Filming isn't going so smoothly, however, as director Mandy (Li Xiaoran) keeps picking apart Zheng Zhi's acting. It turns out that Mandy and Zheng Zhi are actually former lovers, and the movie's plot is their own story. Meanwhile, Chuan Zi (Yu Shaoqun) joined the production as an extra in hopes of reuniting with Nina, whom he believes is his childhood sweetheart. Nina, however, already has a rich and handsome boyfriend.

A group of down-on-their-luck robbers pull off a spectacular job - only to find themselves hunted by cops and possible betrayers! Chan Koon Tai leads the diverse pack of criminals, which also includes such Shaw Brothers luminaries as Ngok Wah, Chung Wong, Ling Yun, and a young Danny Lee in one of his first featured roles. The group pulls off the robbery in action-packed fashion, but betrayal and the relentless police end up marking the five robbers for death.

Young man Po Wen is in hot soup when writing a love story which involves a film star. Po Wen accidentally mails his own photographs to the publishers. As a result, he gets girlfriend Mei Chu quite jealous and demands an explanation. But Po Wen is to find that it's going to be a long explanation as a crisis crop up!

Ah Shou (Ye Feng), who appears dimwitted, cleverly outwits a street hawker, Ah Mou (Liu Lu Hua), who befriends him and forms an alliance. Together, they orchestrate various schemes: dining without paying, blackmailing the clients of a brothel, and renting a room to unsuspecting girls but tricking them into thinking the place is haunted, causing them to eventually forfeit their rent. Their mischief continues until they encounter Ah Chiao (Sakura Teng), a vibrant and sharp-witted individual who not only thwarts their schemes but becomes an integral part of their operation. The trio continues with their scams until an unfortunate encounter with robbers and police involvement adds a twist to their adventurous endeavours.
