Mountain climbing and its dangers get a different twist in this standard drama by Norwegian director Tancred Ibsen. When one of two climbing buddies returns from an attempt to scale Eagle Peak, he is happy to claim his award for being the first to reach the summit. But his celebration is short-lived after his friend comes back down from the mountain with another version of his "victory" climb. The film takes place in the idyllic town of Solsund. Per Haug, a temporary worker, bachelor, amateur painter and leader of the political opposition in the city council, lives there. One day he rushes home from a turbulent city council meeting and angrily paints a portrait of Mayor Abrahamsen.

April 9, 1940, an aircraft warns Norwegian merchant ships that German naval forces are heading for Norwegian waters. The pilot signals to a Norwegian-flagged ship that responds to shooting at the aircraft. The pilot is hurt but is able to land on the water. He is picked up by a Norwegian boat on his way to Kristiansand. Before he dies, he tells Captain Knut Viker and the governor Harald Bakken if this happened.

Not until four years after The Fox's Widow was the third fairytale movie, The Seventh Master of the House, released – Caprino's personal favourite. This is a wonderful fairytale and a sharp satire on everyday bureaucracy. Caprino knew all about that – in fact, you might say that the movie was an indirect stab at the bureaucrats who had considered all his funding applications.

The classic movie from 1938 is an adaptation of Oscar Braatens play. Eva Sletto plays the young factory worker Milja, and Harald Heide Steen as her unfaithful boyfriend Julius.Milja and Julius are a happy couple working at the factory, and everything is good until Petrina shows up at the arena. Julius is bewitched by the girl, who gets him to drink and steal.Milja is soon left alone with the shame - and a bastard child. The child is placed with Hønse-Lovisa while Milja is at the factory, but a doctor casts his eyes on Milja`s young. He's looking for children to adopt to rich westside people. In her desperation, Milja gives away the dearest thing she owns, for the kid to have better conditions than she manages to give him.It is Hønse-Lovisa that convinces her that the material benefits can never compensate for real love and care.

The ageing communist Olav is starting to question his own faith after an encounter with the former priest Eilif who tells the story of how he lost his faith in God.

While Sigurd Helmer is being dressed in his bishop's robes, the fanatical Tornkvist arrives at the ordination and watches from the background. Even before the ordination is over, he goes to the police. He has evidence that Helmer has stolen the office with the help of anonymous letters that slandered Tornkvist in the battle for the bishop's crozier. At the banquet in the bishop's residence, Tornkvist drops the accusation like a bomb. At the same time, he announces his engagement to Helmer's daughter, and the banquet table dissolves into complete confusion. Only Helmer's wife stands firm in her belief in his innocence.
