He was a writer and journalist who was born in Cairo in 1932. He began his journey with journalism after obtaining a BA of Law from Cairo University. He worked with Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper in 1955, before moving to Sabah Al-Khair newspaper, and from there to the prestigious Al-Ahram Foundation in 1958, where he became one of its prominent symbols and writers till the day he died. The great writer Ahmed Bahgat was famous for his simplified religious writings, through which he attracted an audience of young readers.
