Aracy Moebius de Carvalho was head of the passport sector at the Brazilian consulate in Hamburg, Germany. There he met - and fell in love - with the writer Guimarães Rosa and processed several things to emigrate to Brazil, escaping Nazism. Aracy passed away forgotten, victim of Alzheimer's, but remains alive in the memory that only exists today thanks to her insubordination.

The singer and dancer – also known as the "Booty Queen" – traveled through villages in the northeast of Brazil, making a living as an artist in local circuses and making noise in her campaign for mayor of Itamaracá Island, in Pernambuco. From circus to circus, the film records the performer's experiences to face her political opponents and her new audience, the electorate.

The surgery was then canceled and the painful journey of Severina and her husband Rosivaldo began. The story of this mother ends in a long and painful day which wasn't witnessed by the Supreme Court judges.
