Poochie, a little pink dog who runs a newspaper advice column for her owner, receives a letter from a little boy who has literally lost his father in Cairo, Egypt. Poochie and her robotic servant, Hermes, travel there to help him and end up finding a lost city that would prefer to keep its secrets.

When Dr Armstrong is kidnapped by the Bozanians, the Voltes 5 team must go through an intense journey to the Planet Bozania. In order to free Dr Armstrong, the Voltes 5 team must destroy the Bozanian Empire and their advanced weapons. And along the way, secrets will be revealed that will change the lives of everyone. Voltes V is the second part of the Robot Romance Trilogy of the Super Robot genre which includes Chōdenji Robo Combattler V and Tōshō Daimos. Like Combattler V, the series was animated by Sunrise and produced by Toei Company. The series was animated by Sunrise on Toei's behalf. This super robot along with the other two aforementioned super robots first appeared the USA as a part of Mattel's Shogun Warriors line of import toys, released in the late 1970s.
