Iremar works at the rodeo in North East of Brazil. From his home, the truck he uses to transport the animals, he dreams of a future in the region's booming clothing industry.

Hearing news that her 10-year-old son is being bullied because of his feminine long eyelashes, a single mother descends into a paranoid spiral of nightmares as she tries to protect him by trapping him inside.

Benji tells us the story of the beginning and the tragic ending of his friendship with Nino. The contrast between what is narrated and what is seen questions the memories of important events in our lives. Benji's first sexual experience brings out his latent sadistic nature to which he never admits he has. He justifies the murder of his best and only friend through the lessons his mother taught him.

Serginho has a hard time finding his place in the world as he works with his uncle at the market, supports his depressed mother, and takes care of his little brother.
