Follow Alex Honnold as he attempts to become the first person to ever free solo climb Yosemite's 3,000 foot high El Capitan wall. With no ropes or safety gear, this would arguably be the greatest feat in rock climbing history.

Climbing has always been more than just a sport. It’s provided a way of life and a makeshift family to misfits who share a calling. As the sport grapples with its growing popularity, the people who anchor its core and community have more responsibility than ever. This film tells the stories of five of these anchors, the Stone Locals who keep the soul of climbing and nurture it as the sport evolves, and does it by following climbers from 5 different communities: Kathy Karlo, Daniel Pohl, Dario Ventura, The Keithley family, and Katsutaka “Jumbo” Yokoyama.

In this first installment of the Exposure Series, we'll follow professional climbers Dave Graham, Nalle Hukkataival, Matt Wilder, Cheyne Lempe, Mason Earle, Angie Payne, and Cody Roth as they seek out and attempt to climb some of the worlds most challenging boulders, mountains, and traditional routes. Experience the emotional hardships, physical pain, and mental battles as these athletes attempt to redefine their boundaries in the world of rock climbing. Their dedication and commitment to the sport will take them from the windy peaks of Patagonia to the harsh desert of Utah.

In July 2016, Cheyne Lempe poetically filmed the mountain wedding of climbers Sara Aranda and Patrick Hodge, after their ascent of The Incredible Hulk in the Hoover Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada via the Red Dihedral route (5.10b). At the summit, photographer and climber Drew Smith awaited them to officiate their marriage.
