A small-time Belfast thief, Gerry Conlon, is wrongly convicted of an IRA bombing in London, along with his father and friends, and spends 15 years in prison fighting to prove his innocence.

A boy reads about the attacks of a unknown animal on livestock in the town. He plans to run his own investigation. The so called beast however is also used as a metaphor for every day problems the townsfolk face.

Jimmy Jewel plays the part of Grandad George Saunders in this Scene play from the late 1980's. Is grandad really going daft or is it just old age catching up with him?
