Gargee RoyChowdhury (born April 23) is an Indian Bengali actress. She works in Bengali movies in Kolkata and soaps in television. RoyChowdhury is one of the most popular actresses of the Bengali screen. An outstanding actress, Gargee began her career as a theatre artiste, performing in Uttaran and later Bohurupee. She has also been a newscaster and radio artist. She is also an anchor. In television and films she has portrayed a variety of characters. RoyChowdhury has been hailed as the Undisputable Reigning Queen of "tellywood" for more than a decade. Her next film is Mahananda.
