A young clerk is delegated to sort out the affairs of a certain property. It is an old castle belonging to the city with a garden, in which nobody is really interested, but the tenants of the property do not pay rent and taxes, do not work and do not send their children to school. In a suburban villa, a woman of means is murdered. Police Superintendent Zdychynec from the Prague Liben neighborhood reports the case to Police Councilman Vacátko, upon whose order an investigation is launched immediately. Zdychynec begins to suspect the wooer of his own daughter, a handsome dragoon named Rudi, of the crime. In Rudi's absence, Zdychynec searches his rented room in the apartment of the elegant Mrs Dragicová. All his findings - among others, sand left on Rudi's jackboots and a decent amount of money in his bedside table - convince the superintendent that he is following the right lead, especially when Rudi refuses to say where he was at the time of the murder.

Lieutenant VB, disguised as a laborer, is looking for a young woman killer among the staff of a wheel loader. But which of the possible motives found is the right one?

Prague in the 1930s. A young, pretty girl gets on a crowded tram. Based on the novel by French writer Jean Labord, who was a long-time court reporter for the Paris newspaper France-Soir, Jiří Hubač wrote a compelling story with a strong ethical message. The television film of the same name, directed by Zdeněk Zelenka, tells the story of the eternal fluctuation of justice between truth and its outward appearance. It focuses on a case of judicial error, the victim of which is a young nurse, Genevieve Leblanc. She is accused of giving a lethal injection to her lover, government advisor Dupré. In the court investigation, two prominent lawyers clash: Judge Gaudet, who gradually becomes convinced that the girl is innocent, and attorney Cassidis, who elegantly manipulates witnesses, facts, and words.

Winning the affection of classmates can sometimes be a lot of work... A new student, Jana, arrives in the seventh grade of a Prague school. She is a clear top student when it comes to the subject matter, but otherwise she is impractical, clumsy, and completely inept at physical education. That's why she gets the nickname "The Weenie" and the class distances itself from her and even persecutes her with various cruelties. František and Růžena, children of scientists who have ideal parents, try to help Jana, but when Jana reveals how she broke the window and that Růžena encouraged her to deny it, Růžena also hardens against her. In the end, however, the children understand Jana and accept her among them...

Saxony, devastated by the Thirty Years' War, is led by the comedy troupe of the principal Fortunato. The student Vavrinec has fled Bohemia and greatly values the text of Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet, which he has acquired on his wanderings around the world.

Teacher Majer is released from prison under an amnesty. His elementary school classmate Ivan, who lives in a Roma ghetto, takes him into his home. Majer has no family. He has no one left, so he welcomes Ivan's offer. Ivan tells Majer that he has decided to help him mainly because he needs to reopen the school where Majer used to teach and briefly served as principal. Living in the ghetto, Ivan is familiar with the problems of his community and knows that the closure of their beloved school has not been good for them. Majer begins to reach out to his former colleagues and, above all, his students to ask for their help. Many of his students also have children of their own. He experiences a number of comical situations with them. However, he has no idea that he is still being watched by Dostál, the eldest member of the mafia family, who knows that Majer has been released and decides to avenge his son and grandson.

When a noted professor receives a new treatment for his heart ailment, his outlook on life changes. Despite doctor's orders, he is determined to live out his final days on his own terms and fulfill his fantasies. He saves the life of a young woman who tries to kill herself after his recovery from heart surgery in this symbolic story of a man trying to determine his own fate in his last days alive.

Teacher Tomáš Majer, who joined a former special school in 2010, has disappeared. He arrived at the school several months after his sister Jana, also a teacher, was murdered. During the school year, the boys who murdered Jana Majerová mysteriously died. Tomáš Majer most likely avenged his sister in cold blood.
