Tsai Cheng-liang

Post-election tensions rise as the acting president provokes China, leading to PLA drills and looming invasion. As Zero Day nears, the president must choose war, and the island faces a critical choice for its future.

After joining a hospital in Taipei, Dr. Li devotes himself to treating patients undergoing bone marrow stem cell transplants. As he shares in their triumphs and losses, he learns that healing extends far beyond medicine to compassion, understanding, and unwavering support.

The film follows the meandering misadventures of an aimless medical school graduate who has never kept a job and wanders from the bed of one girl to another. He becomes caught between his flight attendant girlfriend who is often away and a high school girl who claims to be a lesbian. A mixture of fast living and brooding melancholy, Fluffy Rhapsody is an engaging, photogenic essay on the current generation of seemingly thoughtless, but in fact overly introspective urban youth.

An incident brings a mid-aged Taiwanese woman and a young Filipino guy together. Although they can barely communicate with each other in language, she takes care of him out of instinct before her self-consciousness gets in the way to define what that ambiguous instinct is.

These days, Cheng-Cheng seems different. He doesn’t play baseball anymore and stays away from the field. It feels like he has something he can’t tell anyone. His mom tries to help but doesn’t know why. The fear and confusion come from one of the adults he trusts the most. One evening, Cheng-Cheng stands by the field, holding his bat, wondering—should he swing, or not?
