Pierrick Sorin

One morning in Paris, rue de la Sante, Pierre, thirty-five years old, gets out of prison after five years of refusing any contact with his past. After a day of sleep in one of the rooms of his old friend's hotel, he is going to live his first night of freedom in solitary wanderings in the streets of Paris. He then decides to read the letters of his friend Sylvana. They will reveal past events that will influence his itinerary, his encounters, his moods.

A man films himself in bed in the morning, as soon as he is awakened by the lamps illuminating him (1800 Watts) and by the radio (tuned to France Culture), programmed for this purpose. He declares, microphone in hand, that he will go to bed early that evening because he is tired and "this can't go on any longer."

Remake of the eponymous film by Pierrick Sorin released in 1993. Comedy about a peeping tom. A parody of the male pornographic gaze.

Self-filming. A parody of the pornographic (male) gaze.
