Krystof, an architect whose main priority is his job, has been living for several years with Tereza, who has a somewhat different outlook on life. Their love story reveals the distinctness and contradictory nature of each person's subjective worlds and shows how the line between dream and reality differs in each and every one of us.

The year is 1764. For over a year, Josef has been leading a precarious life in Venice. He hopes to become an opera composer. The city, full of talented and already-established composers, seems closed to him. Looking for work as a violinist, he comes into the orbit of a rich young woman. Thanks to her, he gets the opportunity to play at salons. But his real opportunity arises when he becomes the lover of a libertine marquise. She teaches him worldly manners, rids him of signs of a provincial upbringing and introduces him to a hedonistic existence free from religious intolerance. Thus transformed, Josef gets an incan incredible commission: to write an opera for the San Carlo, Europe's largest theatre.

Everyone agrees with this plan, except for one person, the mayor's father-in-law, Topol.

The fates of several women intertwine as they navigate professional setbacks, repair dysfunctional relationships and take control of their lives.

Isabela, a retired woman, floods her drug-addicted neighbor's apartment with her washing machine. A repairman must be called. The handyman arrives at the apartment, which does not look like the home of a lonely senior citizen, but rather like a clinic for deranged individuals... Isabella's neighbor is unable to fulfill his late wife's last wish, the flooded junkie hates pensioners, refugees, and the government, and Isabella is visited by her offended husband, who has been dead for years and complicates her life and the repair of the washing machine... During this bizarre visit, the illusion of one happy marriage falls apart, one old misunderstanding is cleared up, and several others arise. The second half features the short film Barcarole, also produced by Divadlo Verze.

She has a bold plan to fix not only their marriage, but also Josef’s publishing company. The prescription? Infidelity! They must catch each other out in flagranti.
