Ayako Toda, who lost her parents during repatriation and was taken in by Shimamura is ordered to extort 50,000 yen from Nishida, but in the process meets his son Ippei.

However, during a police raid, Michiko was the only unlucky one to be taken into custody. The next morning, her mother Chiyo was summoned to pick her up and was reunited there with her biological son, Prosecutor Hagiwara.
