Most original inhabitants were moved away from this small town located close to the German border for their German origin. Instead of focusing on the war time, the film is based on the present, depicting the life of several characters: a woman of Sudeten-German origin, a German man coming to the town as a sexual tourist, a Dutch man and a Vietnamese girl living in the town. The document presents Czech borderland and the stories of people living their own private lives, often unwilling to step out into the world at large.

A documentary film by Martin Dušek on the topic of taste as it manifests itself in our settlements, dwellings and how we are changing the cultural landscape of the Czech Republic. The documentary is structured as a travelogue through the Czech Republic with stops and documentary situations, supplemented by testimonies of local people, well-known personalities of design, architecture, experts on social geography and history. Each place will have its own theme that defines the situation of Czech taste (the role of tradition, money, the state of crafts, the role of chains with their unified products).

A digitally animated floating eye searches a prehistoric cave that represents a tunnel into the past. Time sings a mysterious siren song. Dušek draws attention to the societal barriers and roadblocks that prevent us from tuning into the wave of this melody and letting ourselves be carried to the roots of our identity.
