David Zimmerman, almost 40, is a photographer but no one knows it. When friends drag him to a wild party, he spots a woman in the crowd and can’t take his eyes off her, he follows her… A few hours later, David wakes up: he’s in the body of the unknown woman.

A cliff, the sun, a woman executing a magical and ceremonial dance, until exhaustion. Suddenly the night falls : the Moon comes.

Intimacy and entertainment, melancholy and fury, modesty and drive, birth and disappearance. Four girls, four boys. Eight solitudes told with lyric and passion, between Earth and Cosmos, along the way towards their Metamorphoses.

Portraits of people taken in a same space : space of listening, space of black & white. In this space can go together the fantasies of the model and the filmmaker.

Between the nostalgia of resurfacing roots and the desire to venture into song to experience a rebirth, Nicolas Maury reveals himself unguarded before Didier Varrod, with a deeply moving sincerity. Nicolas Maury released his first album, La porcelaine de Limoges, in January 2023—a new experience for this unique, demanding, and multifaceted actor. It is an opportunity to paint an intimate portrait of him through an extended interview on a train between Paris and Limoges. In this specific setting, which was also that of his first (silent) film role with Patrice Chéreau in Those Who Love Me Can Take the Train, Nicolas discovers archives and hears from close acquaintances who speak about him. A documentary film, like a kind of initiation rite, it moves back and forth between memories of France and childhood, and his condition as a man and artist today, taking on a new identity through music.

A silent, musical and sexy movie. A theme: the loving parade. Characters who make tours (of magic, sometimes). In each the reverse angle, the other, in each or almost their song, as a fiction (a decoration) surrounds their character.
