The friend was told that if he did not board the boat, he would not receive his inheritance. Unfortunately for the hero, a male nurse believes that he is the sick friend and forces him to stay in the cabin and subsist upon a diet of goat's milk.

The owners return to find their home taken over by strangers and are about to call the police when it is discovered that they are the parents of one of the extras in the company.

John "Jack" Norton, before the war a society playboy and fop, returns from the trenches of World War One a two fisted American who finds his father, Raymond Norton, in jail, charged with theft of funds from the bank in which he was the president. Realizing his error, Duroacher follows Yvonne, thus precipitating a series of events in which the judge is suspected of murdering Scarborough, and Émile injures Duroacher out of jealousy. Yvonne's name is cleared, as is that of Émile, who has been sought for many years on a murder charge. Yvonne and Duroacher realize their love for each other.
