Bratislava, 1930s. The owner of a luxury tailoring salon, Alfréd Blum, has always relied on a classy clientele, thanks to which he rose to the top of society. But times change, the world is in an economic crisis, and Blum discovers that in reality he only has debts. He has completely lost his assets in shares, and his clients have to deny themselves luxury goods. The only hope to save his family from poverty is Blum's life insurance policy for 300,000 crowns. Therefore, the businessman turns to his old acquaintance, unemployed tailor Ján Kepeš, with an unusual offer. He gives him five thousand crowns and arranges a job for him in a Viennese salon. The TV adaptation of Ivan Stodola's satirical theatre comedy tells the story of a shy charity official who is looking forward to a definitive life with a charming colleague. One day, however, in return for a promised favor, he confesses to the embezzlement of three thousand crowns, which his womanizing boss "borrowed" from the treasury. When forty thousand disappears from his table, Jožko Púčik is automatically considered a thief and ends up in custody. The man passively accepts his fate because he believes in justice. Moreover, charitable associations begin to get ahead of themselves in paying support for him and his poor sister. And although he is not only at the end of his journey following the partisans, but also at the end of his life, his last words become the confession of a simple man who has realized on whose side truth and justice are.

A television adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy about the destructive power of wealth. Timon, a rich and generous Athenian citizen, gives gifts to his friends generously and magnanimously. He helps everyone in need, regardless of their status. However, he is surrounded by false friends who refuse to help him when his coffers are empty and his barrels no longer overflow with wine. The attitude of his friends shakes his faith in the goodness of humanity, and he retreats to a cave on the seashore, where he dies by his own hand, cursing the entire human race. Even the famous warrior Alcibiades knows the ingratitude of Athens. When he speaks on behalf of a soldier sentenced to death for a minor offense, the senators expel him from the city. Alcibiades, a man of action, does not give up, defeats Athens, and conquers it. However, he finds Timon already dead.

This film is one of the most popular pictures of Slovak cinema and relates the story about the legendary folk hero and brigand Juro Jánošík [1688-1713] and the social situation in Slovakia of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The first part talks about Jánošík's childhood, studies and return to his native village. In the second part Jánošík leaves for the hills, where he organizes his band of brigands and starts an anti-feudal resistance. The film concludes with Jánošík's execution.

An unusual children's film set during World War II in Czechoslovakia, this compelling drama unfolds five different segments that present the war through the eyes of three youngsters. The three have a series of adventures which include saving a soldier from being captured by the Germans, helping out the resistance fighters, and meeting up with a young Russian woman trained in guerrilla warfare.
