Mbok Puspo’s cafe, at the edge of Kalimas, under Jembatan Merah or “Red Bridge”, is a meeting place for many. Jealousy and rage start to build up and Husein and the pregnant Rahimah are thrown out of the house.

Because her father was seriously ill in Semarang, and Sri Asih did not have time to leave, Sri Asih only took her mother to the station. After the train departed, Sri Asih heard a whisper, that the train was about to explode, because on the bridge there was dynamite that had been plotted. He is loved by an innocent girl in the village, but in other places, he plays around with women. In his old age, Tohir becomes a drunk and then he finds out that the government has awarded Hasan for his services. He uses Husin, nicknamed Boy, to avenge himself by sending him to rob Hasan’s house. Husin fails and is sent to trial. There, while drunk, Tohir reveals who Husin really is. Hasan and his wife then welcome Husin back.

In the past. There was a Palmerah hero named Rombeng (Sukarno M. Noor) who was cruel and ruthless. The victims were the common people and beautiful girls. There was also a story about a young man with long hair, so his name was only known as Si Gondrong (Farouk Afero), who was also good at martial arts. He was a Kwitang hero. A Cape Fear-style psycho-thriller told in flashback mode. The peace of legal prosecutor Johan Arifin’s family is broken by the arrival of various fears in the form of a flirtatious waiter, threatening letters and calls. The culprit is Barman and his motive is revenge as Johan’s testimony put him in jail. The climax is the kidnapping of Johan’s wife and son.

Sri Kustina was a popular singer at a nightclub. She married Hasan who turned out to be a gambler and a drunkard. This habit persisted even though she had two children, Didi and Aminah. Due to Hasan's carelessness, Didi died after being hit by a car. Sri then divorced Hasan and returned to work at the nightclub. Hasan often appeared to blackmail her with threats. Sri reported this to her friend, Rusli. Hasan became more determined. He kidnapped Aminah and killed Sri. The police managed to free Aminah, while Hasan died after being hit by a truck when being chased by Rusli.

After hearing the mandate of Sukarno during the Second Asian-African Conference, an author named Suromo searches an art form to express the people’s hardship. Together with a failed painter named Rutaf and a film director named Kadjiman, these artists meet a man who works at the National Trade Bank. Interested in the arts, he helps to promote their activities.

If that fails, he will be severely punished. Tun Utama then returns with a beautiful princess, Siri Syarifah. The beauty of Siri Syarifah captivates even the King himself. They all try to find a trick to separate them. The King pretends to be sick and can be cured only after eating the liver of a bearded weasel. Tun Utama is assigned to find the animal that doesn’t exist. During the absence of Tun Utama, Siri Syarifah remains faithful. She does not react to the persuasions from the King. When Tun Utama fails to accomplish the mission and would end up beheaded, Syarifah manages to save her lover by bringing the bearded weasel in a trunk, hidden inside is a man, a member of the royal family in the palace of Parun.

The film tells a story about a family with six children. The father is often angry with everyone except the eldest child (Mieke Wijaya). Then the family situation deteriorates further when mother falls ill and is hospitalized. Finally, problems are solved thanks to the calmness and charm of the third sibling (Indriati Iskak).

At the Jakarta Fair, there is a rumour that a major tycoon from Makassar will come looking for new machines and a business partner. There is a flurry of excitement as everyone tries to get the tycoon’s employees to drop by their stands. Mansur, one of business owners in the fair, asks his secretary, Sinta, to find Andi Rachmat Syah, the tycoon. Sinta then approaches Andi, a handsome man employed by the tycoon, to find out about his boss. The man promises to tell Sinta on one condition, that she has to take him around the fair. Samiaji, Mansur’s business competitor, who has a crush on Sinta, is jealous when he finds out about it. Till the end of the story, nobody knows that Andi takes Sinta home after nights of going around the Jakarta Fair.
