A priest is certain that the child his wife has had with another man is possessed by the devil. He kidnaps the child, carries it far up into the mountains to a cairn, and stones it to death, praying that the devilish soul will never leave the stone, which he then places on top of the cairn. Many years later, a young man named Tore discovers the cairn and the stone, lifts it up and removes it from the cairn. He should never have done that.

The film depicts a typical night out in Oslo, and shows the sometimes painful and often ridiculous results of being on the 'meat market'. The casual, breezy dialog contrasts the darker themes of friendship, betrayal and use/abuse of sexual power. Christine and Alex want excitement and confirmation of their desirability, Silje is looking for true love. Joakim? Well, he has perhaps read 'The Game' one too many times...
