An unrecognizable, charred corpse discovered in a remote mountain village in China connects three local stories.

A sudden tsunami came as a shock, trapping Jiang Peng and his daughter, Jiang Xiao Hu, in Chinatown of Southeast Asia. The two of them, with other inhabitants, took a brace to fight against the terrible monster that followed. However, after the life-and-death struggle, they found surprisingly a man-made calamity instead of a natural disaster.

In 2050, a new technology is developped: it allows people to enter the dream world of someone else by using a special headwear. Detective Yu wants to use her technology in order to solve his case. Researcher Lan Xiao Wei agrees, as she thinks the case was connected to her mother's coma. As Xiao Wei linked herself to the dream world of an unconscious victim, the detective follows her in secret. The two of them experience all kinds of dangers in the dream world.

To save her family restaurant, returning chef Ting must rediscover the lost flavor of its signature dish. The true recipe, however, lies hidden in a memory she has long sealed away.

The son returned home to have the New Year’s Reunion with his family, prior to which he completed a notarization procedure alongside his father, prompting a resurgence of past stories and memories on that very day.
