Kiran Bhakta Joshi
Kiran Bhakta Joshi, is an award-winning director, producer, and animation pioneer who began his career at Walt Disney Studios, where he helped bring to life classics such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Atlantis: The Lost Empire. His groundbreaking work on the wildebeest stampede in The Lion King became a benchmark in CG animation. In 2007, Kiran returned to his native Nepal to found Incessant Rain, a world-class animation and VFX company based in Kathmandu. Kiran’s short film Mandala won multiple awards at various international film festivals. He was the co-Director & Producer for the award-winning documentary Moving Mountains: The Awakening. He was the Executive Producer on Bobblehead: The Movie. He also worked as the VFX Producer on House of Dragons, The Hunger Games, John Wick: Chapter 4, Stranger Things, One Piece, Chappie, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Red Sparrow, Wednesday, Yellowjackets, Gangs of London and many other films. He is a member of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences and serves as a special advisor to Women in Animation Nepal (WIA-Nepal), a nonprofit affiliated with Women in Animation Global, based in Los Angeles.
