Arman Kotikyan

The film is about Anahit, a young chemist, who wants to create a new kind of wine without alcohol. National Armenian melodies are used in the film.

The Armenian national hero, David Bek, leads a major Armenian uprising against Safavid Persia in the Syunik region in the 18th century.

Drunkard Garsevan is supposed to bring wine for testing to specialist Poghosyan. On the road he drinks the wine and is picked up by two young men who think that he is a victim of road accident.

Bolshevik Tsolak Darbinyan is infiltrated into Dashnak Army as a musician of Army music band. Despite the initial personal conflict with band leader Arsen, he is able to win the friendship of young band musicians including Arsen and to persuade them to back him on the eve of the Bolshevik invasion to Armenia.

Despite the rumors circulating about the hero being an informer, the society around him, while condemning him behind his back, flatters and fawns over him to his face.

Rich Nikoghos-agha buys some beef liver for Nerses-akhpar's family. Although months have passed, Nikoghos-agha does not hesitate to remind his "charity" to Nerses-akhpar every time they met.
