Ivan, a Belgian journalist on sabbatical in Mexico, starts following the trail of a mysterious writer called Celestino Pérez. Upon arrival in the village where Celestino lives, he turns out to be absent. Ivan is taken in by the writer's family. He soon finds himself trapped in their house, mirroring his own experience with his imagination about Celestino.

Thomas, a frustrated reporter who works for a local newspaper in North of France, is assigned to write a portrait of alternative musician and recent mayoral candidate Usé. After the interview, the two men happen upon the inanimate body of a man lying in a desolate alley. To their surprise, the man – Jojo – rises before them like a zombie. Through a series of unexpected events, the newfound friends forge bonds and embark upon a surreal journey.

Right at this time, he is offered the task of writing a profile piece on Usé, a major local figure, an atypical musician and former candidate at the municipal elections. While cross-crossing the city and exploring Usé's life, and while revelling in a drunken night together, the two men will learn to get to know each other.
