Naghi Nemati

Just one day from completing their military training, three conscripts desert their camp and escape into the frozen wilderness of Northern Iran. Travel through this mountainous, snowbound region is dangerous, but THOSE THREE opt for the independence it promises and must now forge their way through an uncertain landscape with only friendship to see them through. In this austere and mesmerizing debut feature, director Naghi Nemati's attention to the minutiae of human relationships is a quiet and deliberate meditation on the value of responsibility, connection and sacrifice.

Yasha follows Hana, a young teacher driven to desperate measures after losing her job. In need of money for her son’s life-saving operation, Hana is willing to endure any hardship, humiliation, or consequence to give her child a chance to survive, and the film remains firmly focused on its protagonist’s relentless struggle throughout. Never saccharine or manipulative in its portrayal of maternal determination, this is a story that feels raw, tense, and authentic.

Yasha, a bird hunter, finds the dead body of a well-known man on a snowy day in a mountain town. He becomes involved in a 300 billion Tooman embezzlement after getting clues leading to finding the killers. He begins to seek his benefit in this adventure.

'Three and a Half' tells the story of three female convicts recently released from prison. Outside the confines of the prison walls, the trio plan to escape Iran by crossing the border. Though the women revel in each other's humor, their mission is a serious one. If caught trying to escape Iran, they will find themselves in deep trouble. An exciting tale about three women who are both resilient and troubled in equal measure.
