Spring of 1918. Tarakanov, managing the estate of Prince Tikhvinsky, with the help of a former court fencing teacher Marquess and a street kid Keshka, is stealing a collection of paintings and sculptures from the abandoned estate owners. Hoping to transport her abroad, criminals wander with a circus troupe, and in their wake goes a tireless criminal investigator — Makar Ovchinnikov.

Only after a long search does Michailytsch find Kunak and frees him. But the lynx came to the attention of thieves who catch it and sell it to a circus in the city…

Unwilling to dedicate herself to her husband, the restless wife of a provincial village fisherman seeks out love from every man she meets. This results in a romantic triangle that is at once disarmingly simplistic and intensely dramatic.

The film is about an oilman who took a lost worker's place and won the respect of other oilmen, was also based on this same ideology, depicting the heroism of oil workers, who never became exhausted and continued working in oil, generation after generation.

The Russian Civil War is over and the White Guard are all dead or abroad. Some of the exiled nobles are attempting to crown a new Tsar/Emperor abroad, and a couple of impostors are vying for the position. At the same time, some of the Elusive Avengers' old foes are trying to return to Russia, for mysterious reasons. The avengers are assigned the task of finding out what's going on. Turns out the bad guys are after the Russian Crown, which is encrusted with many diamonds and jewels. It is not clear whether the crown is only wanted for the coronation ceremony or if the bad guys are trying to sell it to the highest bidder, but either way they must be stopped. The avengers are after them. Two go to Paris to infiltrate the emigrant community, and the other two work on the Russian soil.

The events take place in one of the mines of Kryvyi Rih. Peter Chumak, after graduating from the institute, is appointed chief engineer of the mine. From the very first days of work Chumak initiates innovative methods of coal mining. The most fierce opponent of his proposals - engineer Alexei Zheleznyak. The confrontation of young specialists is complicated by the fact that Zheleznyak is the brother-in-law of Pyotr's wife.
