1839. The discontented noblemen assemble at the country estate of count Gábor Falussy, on the pretext of a boar hunt. Also an English engineer arrives for the sake of constructing the railway line leading up to the count’s quarry.

After World War II police forces increase the number of their permanent staff because of the corrupted general conditions. After a short instruction, recruits Sipos and Czöntör are also put into action against riotous groups, black-marketeers and burglars.

This film, set at the end of the 18th century, in a provincial and noble environment raises the question of humans forced to lead a meaningless life. The rich Transylvanian noble youth, Kálmán, absorbed the spirit of freedom and enlightened culture in Paris. Returning to his father's estate, he encounters a superstitious backwardness and an orgiastic storming of violence and instincts.

A young man offers his services through a newspaper advertisement: Mr Psimth takes care of everything. A man approaches him and asks him to steal his aunt's precious brilliant necklace. Mr.Psmith arrives at the castle and realises that all the guests there want the jewels. The young man exposes the company and takes a wife instead of the necklace.

This film is a documentaristic dispute about the possibilities of young people to assert themselves, to make a career. Zsuzsa is a third-year university student studying pedagogy. She has been dating Zoltán for three years, and her thinking has been fundamentally shaped by this relationship. Yet now she would like to break up with him.

This poetic film presents the ballad of the boys who turned into stags, by the associative means of music, painting and folk art. At the same time it is a memorial to the martyrs of the 1944 Sátoraljaújhely prison revolt and shows its butchery reflected through the fate of three brothers.
