Cattle owner Buck Ridgeway captures a rustler band, but the leader, Pelton, escapes. Buck is accompanied to the city to market his cattle by Aline, his neighbor's daughter, who is determined to make him fall for her.

This 1929 drama about mistaken identities contains three eight minute scenes that involve talking. The rest of the film is silent and subtitled. The trouble begins when the hero follows a pretty lady aboard an ocean liner. He boards the ship using the name of his friend who was supposed to take the cruise for health reasons. The friend was told that if he did not board the boat, he would not receive his inheritance. Unfortunately for the hero, a male nurse believes that he is the sick friend and forces him to stay in the cabin and subsist upon a diet of goat's milk.

Buffalo is banished to the wilderness after playing a nasty practical joke on his rancher father. During his exile, Billy meets and falls in love with pretty Patricia Farris, who sadly rejects him when he tries to steal a kiss.

Anna Jones, racing her brother Dick to their ranch, is "rescued" from her fast horse by a stranger (Cranner) whom she indignantly brands a bonehead before riding away. "Big Bill," a ranch employee, steals the payroll bag and joins his gang in the forest, where the stranger sees them hiding the bag in a shack. He investigates and is captured by the gang. His dog, Bunk, however, leaps through a window with the loot, buries it, then returns, frees Cranner by digging a hole under the wall, and keeps the bandits at bay while Cranner escapes.

The neighborly "feud" between a Jewish and an Irish families escalates when two of their youngsters fall in love.

Dick Scott takes his Wild West show to the Balkan kingdom of Alvania where the boy king of the country commands the troupe to give a performance. The king is greatly impressed with the American cowboys and makes them his palace guard. The prime minister starts a revolution, and Dick and the Americans put it down. The boy king sanctions a romance between Scott and Ruth Elliott, the royal governess.

Arthur and Eddie make a bluff at buying a car and get the auto salesman to take their girls for a ride, pretending to the girls that he is a hired chauffeur. The salesman resents being treated as a hired hand and takes them for a bumpy ride terminating far in the country where he runs out of gas. They walk to the house of the county judge who is on the lookout for suspected elopers and has agreed to hold them for identification.

Joe Luke, who wants to get Ann Douglas' ranch, pays someone to kill a man he thinks is Ann's brother Ben.

Rodeo king Bill Hammon invites the owner of a Wild West show to give an exhibition at the ranch. A pair of jewel thieves uses the event to "ply their trade", prompting the show's owner, a radio champion, to go after them.

Jacob Cohen, who owns a dry goods store, and Patrick Kelly, an Irish cop, are constantly at loggerheads, feuding over anything and everything. Kelly's son, Tim, and Cohen's daughter, Nannie, fall in love despite the bickering of their parents; when they cannot get parental consent for their marriage, they secretly wed.

Lee Crush, an out-of-work cowhand, gets into a fight with Bull Dozier and knocks him through a railing. Thinking he has killed the man, Lee takes to his heels and finds work on the Shawn ranch. Lee prevents Clem Allen from swindling the Widow Shawn and falls in love with her daughter, Mary.

Larrabie Keller, a homesteader, is accused of being a cattle rustler, and when Keller refuses to fight Phil Sanderson, whose sister, Phyllis, has struck his fancy, he is insulted by Bill Healy, to whom he administers a severe drubbing. Phyllis, finding Keller beside a branding fire, believes him guilty; and when he is wounded by Healy, she takes Keller to Yeager, another homesteader, who cares for him and to whom he reveals that he is a Texas Ranger.

Walter Sandry, holder of a mortgage on timber lands in the Pacific Northwest, arrives to claim his property. He comes into conflict with a rival company and with lumberjacks influenced by their foreman, Hampden, whom he later beats in a fight.

"Lightning" Jack inherits a ranch. Unfortunately, he is forced to share his inheritance with Donaldeen Travis, a snobbish debutante type who arrives from the East with her mammy and sister in tow. Donaldeen takes an immediate dislike to the uncouth "Lightning" and spends time instead with smooth-talking neighbor Currier King.

Upon discovering that one of the gang members killed in the raid was the long-lost son of the Monroe family, so he decides to impersonate him to exact his revenge on the their family.
