A childless royal couple begs God in vain for a child. The impatient king then asks the devil himself. Soon after, the queen gives birth to a beautiful daughter, who dies suddenly at a very young age. The royal parents are convinced that the princess has only fallen asleep. They lay her to rest in the castle chapel and have her sleep guarded. However, terrible things happen there every midnight, and no guard dares to cross the threshold of the chapel. Will a brave young man be found to watch over the princess and bring her back to life?

The story is based on Operation Stone, during which State Security agents deliberately misled citizens of the Czechoslovak Republic who were attempting to leave the country illegally by creating fake borders and fake border patrols and interrogation teams from American, German, and French authorities. During interrogations, State Security officers convinced detainees that they had actually crossed the state border of our republic and obtained information from unsuspecting people, which was then used in criminal proceedings.

Anyone who enjoys listening to fairy tales also knows that the wisdom contained in them can help change our world a little for the better. How? Well, by teaching us to be quiet and listen to the inner voice of the events that surround us, they teach us to discover the inner beauty of things and people. And anyone who can do this can never again maliciously destroy beauty and happiness, as the nine envious maidens in the fairy tale did.

Gabriela Preissová wrote her two most famous dramas, Gazdina roba and Její pastorkyňa, when she was not yet thirty. Both were set to music and became famous. The first opera, entitled Eva, was written by J. B. Foerster, and the second by Leoš Janáček. The fame of Janáček's work greatly overshadowed the original. On the other hand, "Gazdina roba," the author's debut work, is still performed on Czech stages, regardless of the era. That is how powerful and impressive this drama is. The production by director Zdeněk Kaloč premiered at the Vinohrady Theater in May 1992. Dagmar Veškrnová endowed the title role of Eva the seamstress with warmth, temperament, pride, and tragic shadows.

He has everything nicely planned and under control, just like everything else in his professional and private life. He gets along with everyone, takes care of everything, and everyone is happy with him. Jarda simply "knows his way around." He has a wonderful wife, a beautiful apartment, a relaxed job, a new lover, and lots of good friends, but then a man gets into his new taxi, a man whom fate has also presented with a series of unexpected and complicated situations and fundamental decisions that day. And so, in their unexpected companionship and day-long journey, a number of relationships and values are transformed for both of them.

The revue about the life of Karel Hašler and his songs was written on commission by the Vinohrady Theater's most frequently performed original author, Pavel Kohout. It premiered in October 2014 and remains one of the most popular titles in the repertoire. That is why this revue was chosen as the gala performance for the theater's 110th anniversary.

Ema (23) returns home unexpectedly and reunites with her sister Mia (15), mother and grandmother in their beloved garden colony. The sisters relive childhood games, laughter and nostalgia and their bond is quietly renewed as they say goodbye.
