A celebration of Czech music. This is a concert featuring the biggest names on the domestic pop scene. Dozens of singers paid tribute to Karel Gott, a musical legend loved not only in our country. You will hear many of his beautiful and famous songs, including hits such as "Lady Carneval," "Jdi za štěstím," "Trezor," "Co sudičky přály nám," and "Srdce nehasnou." All performed by Lucie Bílá, Marek Ztracený, Monika Absolonová, Ondřej Brzobohatý, Michal David, Václav Noid Bárta, Charlotta Ella Gottová, Richard Krajčo, Jiří Suchý, Hana Zagorová, and many others. Actress Jiřina Bohdalová will be a special guest, and Libor Bouček will host the evening.

Theatre personality, musician, poet, writer, graphic artist, collector, self-professed clown, eternally young in spirit – all this is Jiří Suchý, one of the key figures of the domestic cultural scene over the last six decades. He has put on 97 plays at the Semafor theatre and has written the lyrics for 1,400 songs and the music for 500. Today, in an era beset by an onslaught of images that are often of questionable worth, this legendary figure’s tireless efforts to enrich the Czech language and its poetic nuances have been of inestimable value. Olga Sommerová lays before us Suchý’s prolific creative and civic journey through life with the subtle distinctiveness we have come to expect; she also demonstrates her singular flair for capturing exceptional moments.

Jiří Suchý recalls two of the most prominent artistic and creative figures in Czechoslovak culture of the last century: Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich.

The fairy tale tells the story of a royal couple who cannot have children. With the help of a magical prop, they finally succeed, but in double measure. They give birth to twins. Which prop is responsible for this? Well, take a guess, or better yet, take another look at the title of the fairy tale. When the boys grow up and one of them is supposed to take over the joys and responsibilities of ruling, an unsolvable problem arises: should it be Vojta or František? We won't reveal the plot with all its twists and turns, but one thing is certain: the boys set out into the world with the understanding that the one who can perform the greater heroic deed will become king. The princes, even though they are not exactly cut out for it, take on the task with all their vigor and responsibility.

On a quiet evening, the spectral White Lady Slavěna and her ghostly painter beloved Tomáš shelter the orphaned cook Fanynka from pursuing robbers, despite the enchanted knight Slavoj’s powerless protests. When robber chief Borek infiltrates the castle in disguise and uncovers the truth, he vows to destroy the ghosts and claim the fortress for himself.

Lojzička is a quirky princess from Enykytánie who is more interested in physical education and her parrot Ferda than in her princess duties. And to make matters worse for her parents, the water sprite Bonifác chooses her as his bride and threatens to destroy the entire kingdom. Lojzička refuses to give in, runs away to join a troupe of actors, and becomes a famous tightrope walker. However, she is unable to escape her fate—in the end, she must deal with both the water sprite and her role as future queen. Fortunately, she discovers true love, makes good friends, and also realizes that everything must be learned and that there is always a silver lining...

On the day she comes of age, the last descendant of a famous family of magicians learns the secret of her origins from her great-grandmother Evelina. At the same time, both face a number of difficulties. Because the magical objects that have provided the family with a livelihood for centuries have begun to behave unpredictably, they will have to find some suitable work. But what can beings who are incapable of anything practical do? Will finding the lost princess be as big a coup as it might seem at first glance?

Stage mime Antoine Moreau is compelled by the Gestapo to put on a performance for the children of Terezin, a "model" concentration camp, to convince the Red Cross observers that the camp is truly what it seems. Reluctant at first, Moreau slowly learns the true nature of the camp, including the meaning of the "transports" on which people leave. With a world-class orchestra (made up of people interned in the camp) and a cast of children, Moreau stages a show to end all shows.

However, he objects to the nymph, saying that the most beautiful creature is the emperor's daughter, Princess Budúr, who rejects all suitors. The magical beings bring their favorites together so they can compare their charms. However, they have no idea that this fateful meeting will cause Prince Dominik and Princess Budúr to fall in love.

A fairy tale in which the devil can make hell for people on earth, but is powerless against common sense.

Jonáš, an aging comedian, wanders the restored Semafor theater lost in memories of his glory days. He finds unexpected inspiration in Melicharová, a music-loving cleaner who joins him in sketches and songs drawn from their stage show. Interwoven with archival clips from Semafor’s past productions and earlier TV projects, their collaboration sparks a poignant musical reunion.

The water sprite Toníček fell in love with the beautiful and hard-working Andulka, but her father did not approve, so he sent her to Prague to work as a servant. Toníček did not give up and went to look for her. All the water sprites from Prague and the surrounding area helped him, but Andulka was nowhere to be found. Of course, she was eventually found, but it was not easy.

This distinctive documentary portrait of Prague extolls the beauty, significance and spirit of the ancient city adopting modern way of life. The form and content of the film share a common underlining principle. The author doesn't simply list out the sequence of events, but rather approaches them in a broader context of their historic implications and circumstances. The content of the film covers a large period from the pagan times to these days. At the beginning is a suicide attempt by sculptor Jiří Malek, which is foiled by a thief hidden in his apartment. Malek is thirty-five, divorced, caring for his five-year-old son, and the reason he turned on the gas in his studio is, of course, his wife. Mr. Karas, who takes care of Málka's household, tries to get rid of his gloomy mood by using alcohol. But after Jiří insults the old man and they break up badly, Málka's older brother Oldřich decides to find a woman who would be a good wife to Jiří, a mother to little Martin and a good friend to him. She should be pretty, intelligent, understanding, love children and be able to cook, wash and clean. To avoid any mistake, Oldrich will draw up a test, the results of which should decide. Without suspecting that he is undergoing an important test, a number of potential sisters-in-law find themselves in the studio - Edita, a radio editor, Martina, a nurse, Pavla, a student, and others...

The cheerful fairy tale takes us to the first category of hell, inhabited by mischievous devils, and the second category of hell with dirty devils. And this is where the village youth Kája Fousek falls as punishment for his arrogance... The devils decide to correct him. But one of them falls in love with Kája, and he falls in love with her.

Who would have thought that the magician Magiáš would need a doctor! But when it came to it and Magiáš lost his voice, his assistant Vincek had to try very hard to get famous doctors - from Hronov, Kostelecký and Skalický - to come to Hejšovina. Because doctors have to help the sick, even if they don't think anything good about them, they cured the magician Magiáš after all.

The film is essentially a feature-length commercial for an exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the nationalisation of the Czechoslovak film industry, to be held at the Prague U Hybernu venue. The protagonists of the piece are comedians Oldrich Kaiser and Jirí Lábus, who are set to accept an award from Japanese television representatives at the exhibition. At the same time, five gangsters plot to seize a revolutionary invention devised by professor Suzuki - a super holograph, which enables any figure from television to be transported in the flesh into the real world, and vice-versa.

At Plavaček's cradle, fortune-tellers predict his fate for a princess wife, the king's daughter.

The Mráz family is preparing for holidays. Parents are traveling to the spa and little Petr is going to the country to his grandparents. A young man studying law finds a place to stay with a young conductor, thinking that he will find an idyllic Lesser Town atmosphere here and will be able to prepare for his exams in peace. The house is inhabited by distinctive characters. The owner, who sometimes loses his memory, and his lovely, modest daughter of marriageable age live here, as do an unsuccessful painter and his temperamental wife, as well as a certain mysterious Provazník, who writes anonymous letters to his neighbors in order to have malicious fun at their expense.
