Based on the popular television series Okresní přebor. As the title suggests, the film features the legendary figure of licensed coach Josef Hnátek. Since this man appeared in the series only as ashes scattered on the Houslice football field, the filmmakers decided to introduce him to viewers in his living form. The story of the feature film is set during his lifetime and explores the dilemma of a man for whom football is his whole life. Even more than life itself. The title role of the Houslice personality will be played by theater director, artistic director of Prague's Dejvické Theater, and occasional actor Miroslav Krobot.

Colorful characters of various ages, personalities, professions, and hobbies are all searching for happiness, though each in a different place and with a different outcome.

The film consists of five parts - a live-action framing story and four distinct animated episodes - each by a different creative team and in a different animation style, from Pojar and Koutský’s semi-plastic “Princess Who Never Smiled,” through Žabka’s puppet fable “The Fairy and the Bookkeeper,” Dlouhá and Váša’s paper-cut “Fisherman, His Wife, and the Golden Fish,” to Pixa’s near-future parable “Mr. Vincent”.

The story of the film *They Call Me Lars* pays homage to the “hard-boiled detective genre,” with present-day Prague standing in for 1930s Los Angeles. But private eye Lars doesn’t wear a suit like the legendary detective Phil Marlowe of old. He’s a tough guy in a leather jacket, with a shaved head and a scruffy beard. After being kicked out of the police force for complete insubordination, he scrapes by however he can. He solves various problems for his clients or, conversely, causes trouble for others. It depends on the assignment. The only thing left to him from his time in the service is his former partner and friend Gold. The only thing he has left from his time in government service is his former partner and friend Gold, and it is Gold who offers him a lucrative deal.

A Czech agricultural student, Šimon Plánička, arrives at the small South Bohemian town of Hoštice, and joins the local JZD (agricultural co-op) with the intention of trying out his experiment regarding the "Milk yield of cows in regards to a cultured environment". He runs into difficulty with the directorship of the JZD, but he finds them eager to help once they hear he's the son of the local agricultural commissioner, as his last name is also Plánička. Blažena Škopková is given the task of finding out how things are looking. However everything is complicated by the jealousy of Blažena's boyfriend Venca.

Inspired by two fairy tales by Jan Drda, this film tells the story of young Matěj, who enjoys a good riddle. When he is chased off by a farmer for falling in love with his daughter Majdalenka, he sets off to the castle to see the princess, who presents her suitors with three riddles. But Matěj always escapes any pitfalls that he may encounter. (filmovyprehled)

The film, which opens with students arriving at a police academy, is a crazy comedy that is more a series of zany episodes and jokes than a coherent story. They are linked by a simple plot in which the commander of the police academy, Major Maisner, searches among his recruits for an alleged FBI spy and, after a not-so-subtle practical joke, gets into a dispute with his subordinate, a dispute that ends in a genuine bank robbery.

Famous actor Bořivoj Vojan arrives unexpectedly at a student film festival in a small town. The smug, aging man has bruised his ribs on the way and his frustration deepens with every passing minute of his stay – the amateurish organization of the festival, the lousy food, the private accommodation with the confused grandmother Pánková. What's more, he has no idea that one of the most unpleasant encounters awaits him, with the local drunk journalist Merhautová. But there is also tension among the students who organize the festival – Míra is ambitious and promiscuous, Šárka is kind and naive, Jana is beautiful and manipulative, and Matyáš is perpetually stoned and childishly in love.

A love story which unfolds over three days and nights on the outskirts of the metropolis. Seventeen-year-old Ema (Dorota Nvotová) breaks up with 'dude' Viktor (Lukás Latinák), has a fling with future pilot Karel (Mário Kubas), and meets a real man (Ondrej Vetchý), a taxi driver without a taxi. In the tangle of relationships, the characters sometimes have an opportunity to share their feelings, but sometimes they simply pass each other by. The story is told through Ema's eyes as she observes the world around her while searching for love, fun, and joy. But she's not the only one looking for happiness, nor the only one who finds it hard to avoid hurting others in the process. Ema's abandoned mother (Jana Hubinská) looks for another chance for love, while Karel's parents try to put long-lost meaning back into their marriage.

When a feisty village gossip ropes a visiting junior hockey team into her schemes, hoping one will notice her granddaughter, the resulting clash with the exasperated mayor and a hapless regional inspector sets off a chain of uproarious misunderstandings. All the while, an unconventional young priest with a mischievous name looks on in bemused bewilderment.

After the centenarian Trudy’s death, her inheritors refuse the scheming mayor’s bid to buy her lakeside estate for a car lot and instead set about renovating the allegedly haunted villa. Their plans, already complicated by the village busybodies led by the all-knowing Horáčková, go wrong when a youthful, sporty new priest arrives and challenges the community’s expectations.

Dr. Štěpán, dismissed for his outspokenness, returns to his hometown determined not to bend his ethical principles to the ruthless new capitalism surrounding him. When he meets a young woman who may become the meaning of his life, he must confront the tension between his ideals and the demands of a changing world.

Oldřich Brůna always had a soft spot for women, but when he met Ljuba Pelíšková, he immediately realized that he had encountered an extraordinary personality. She is intelligent, educated, beautiful, knowledgeable about alternative medicine, works with auras, gives massages, and treats people with herbs. "Power is sweetest when it is completely disproportionate – when a fool rules over the wise..." Kundera's play reveals in a farcical, even sarcastic way what drives people. For some, the most important thing is to submit and have peace of mind, while others need power over others to live. Milan Kundera says of his comedy Ptákovina that "it is a comedy so frivolous that it is more than a comedy: it is nonsense." Its intricate plot is set in motion by the Director, who draws a rhombus on the blackboard in the classroom. And it is discovered. An investigation ensues, and the all-powerful man of the city, the Chairman, also enters the game. This myth-shrouded comedy was only performed briefly in our country in 1969, and since then no one has officially seen it here. Until September 2008, when director Ladislav Smoček staged it at the Činoherní klub in Prague.
