"Avant que tu reviennes" is the fragmented, deliberately cubist story of a group of friends who get together in a nightclub a few days after one their tribe, who had ties with all of them, abruptly killed himself, leaving no note of explanation.

Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet love each other with a pure love. But their two families hate each other as intensely as the passion they feel for each other. The day after they meet, they ask Friar Laurence to marry them in secret. But Juliet's cousin Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel. Romeo refuses, and his friend Mercutio steps in to take his place, paying for the confrontation with his life. Romeo swears to avenge him...

This Blu-ray is a splendid record of a creative production with terrific voices and direction, as good as the Met's videos any day. It also tends to be creepy and atmospheric, with music as good as anything Gounod wrote for his FAUST. Recommended to lovers of horror and opera!
