1950s Athens. Prince, a self-made impresario and the owner of the "Acropole" review theater, fires one of his leading ladies when she shows up drunk on opening night. In order to replace her, he turns to Lakis Loizos, an expert at comic female roles and an ex-wonder-child of movies, who now runs an agency for extras. At first, Lakis is surprised by the prince's proposal, but finally decides to try his luck on the stage of the legendary theater.

When a series of brutal murders begins, Christos is the only person who can explain what happened. He starts narrating a story to two police officers, a story in which nobody is who they seem to be and they all switch roles and positions up until the final twist. His artistic failure and his bad relationship with his mother led him into prostitution, working in transsexual cabarets, prison and changing sex, while his mother was unable to follow his changes and his life style

This was her only escape from the Nazis, as she endured 548 days of nameless existence in silence. The viewer experiences her adven- ture through her childish gaze, her narratives, as long as she is hiddden.
