Rujira Isarangkul

A film adapted from the most renowned and lengthy novel by Luang Wichitwathakan, written during a time when the values surrounding women’s rights were just beginning to be discussed in Thai society. It tells the epic life story of a strong-willed woman named Praphimpan. The film covers approximately the first ten chapters of the novel, focusing on the period when Praphimpan is arrested for allegedly murdering her former lover, as well as becoming entangled in the murder case of her close friend.

During their one-year prison sentence, Chop and Yai made up their minds to turn over a new leaf for the sake of their families, unlike Ying who declared he would return to a life of crime. The three went their separate ways. Chop returned home to find his family’s situation deteriorating. His mother had fallen ill, his younger brother Chai was a struggling scriptwriter with no sales, and his sister Chatcharee, who worked at a bar, had become the target of the bar owner, Damrongrit.

A sequel to the big hit "เกาะสวาทหาดสวรรค์" (Paradise Island), the marrage between Padermpong and Napaporn is now shaking from his womanizing behaviour and her workaholic obsession. Four months into their marriage, husband and wife aren't really live as a loving couple, now she's filing for legal separation.

The scenery of Samui in 1969 is the background of the musical love story between the couples from the rival families. Sombat Mathanee stars the playboy, Paduempun against Arunya Naamwong who plays the business girl, Napaporn. They came to Paradise Island to take care of their family coconut orchards. They bet who could work more successful. If the guy won, the girl must have married him. If he lost, he gave up his business to her. In the midst of controversy, he fell in love with her. Meanwhile, she began to be confused because she might be in love with him as well.

Garuda came down from his celestial residence to gamble with an ancient king in a dice game. Garuda saw the beautiful Ka Kee, the king's wife, and kidnapped her. The king's musician helped her to escape by also seducing her. The king took offence at Ka Kee's unfaithfulness, for she had slept with three men. He punished her by banishing her to a raft that floated to the middle of the ocean, sure that she would not survive her ordeal.
