Holidays on the swedish east coast. Invading summer guests collide with the locals, all without inhibitions. The formerly so radical Social Democratic municipal councilor has completely lost his visions and fully accepts that the area is transformed into a tourist resort for the rich.

A young, shy and inexperienced man travels back to Sweden, to spend the summer at his mother's house. He meets a number of women with whom he has sexual relations.

The rich, aristocratic Katarina Hassel have an architect renovate her mansion. Katarina fall in love with the young architect, Gunnar Stenwall. Alas, he doesn't fall in love with her. But perhaps if Gunnar would meet her identical sister, who works in Stockholm as a waitress, he would fall in love with her instead? So Katarina travels to Stockholm to act as her non-existing sister.
