Adoor Pankajam

Bharya is a 1962 Malayalam language film starring Sathyan and Ragini in the lead roles. It was directed by Kunchacko based on a novel with the same title by Kanam EJ. The novel was based on the controversial Thiruvalla Ammalu murder case.

Satyaraj and Dharmaraj, two thieves, disguise themselves as old men to escape from their problems. They join a group of old men at a resort, who have come to enjoy life for a month.

This intimately-constructed drama traces the consequences of the tumultuous political and social changes that swept through India in the years since pre-Independence 1937.

Ramaswamy (Jayaram) and Veni (Parvathy) are very close brahmin siblings who lost their parents in their childhood. They live under the protection of Devan (Nedumudi Venu) in a tourist town near Trivandrum. They have an extensive friends circle which includes the feisty Fifi (Urvashi), her brother Tito (Ashokan), Suku (Jagathy) and Sajan (Sreenath). Pappu is a person who takes a relentless stand for justice right from his early years. His protests against his teacher who discriminates between the landlord's son and other children brings him the wrath of the landlord and he's forced to leave home. He leads a hard life fighting to uphold his ideals. He ends up being a rickshaw puller and at this time finds a child from the gutter and takes care of her. Things do not go as Pappu expected as the child grows older.

Ramu, a postman, gives shelter to a girl, who has escaped from the hands of a few Naxalites. However, problems arise when his fiance's parents doubt him to be a Naxalite as they find a gun with him.

Kudumba Vaarthakal is a 1998 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Ali Akbar and produced by Milan Jaleel. The film stars Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Kalabhavan Mani and Kalpana in lead roles. The film had musical score by Berny-Ignatius.

Newspaper Boy is a Malayalam–language Indian film released in 1955. It is the first neo realistic movie in the language. The film, a drama of stark realism, narrates the life of the common man on the street. The film is noteworthy in that the entire production programme from script-writing to direction was controlled and executed by students.

Kodungallooramma is a 1968 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed and produced by Kunchacko. The film stars Prem Nazir, K. R. Vijaya, Adoor Bhasi and Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair. It was based on the Tamil poem Chilappathikaram by Ilango Adigal and also tells the story of Kodungallur Bhagavathy Temple, where the leading deity is also considered as Kannaki, the heroine of Chilappathikaram.
