The day begins like many others in the Schwarz family's life: doctor Nora is preparing breakfast, one-year-old Jella is playing on her blanket, father Mickey is still in the bathroom. Suddenly shots are fired. - When Nora wakes up from her coma 10 days later, nothing is as it was before: Mickey has been fatally shot and there is no trace of Jella. Lübeck pastor Franziska Kemper has to marry her ex-husband Christoph and his heavily pregnant girlfriend Andrea. Not an easy situation, as she has not yet got over the breakdown of her marriage.
