The film starts with the veteran thespian Harish Mishra, he is gravely ill. The punishments of a film shoot have left the old man in a coma. His co-star, Shabnam, is wracked with worry, but their director, Siddharth, keeps strangely distant and refuses to visit his ailing star. In flashbacks, their story emerges.

The film is the effective exploration of a situation wherein a bereaved mother comes to terms with her late son’s sexual identity.

A filmmaker, averse to starting a family, intends to cast a disapproving couple's school-going son in a movie. What follows is a light-hearted journey that could potentially make him rethink his preferences about having a child.

Samaresh and his wife Krishna return to their home in Bengal with their daughter, Tatan, during Durga puja. Upon entering their home, Samaresh learns from his elder brother, Shailesh that their mother is dead. Samaresh takes a nostalgic journey in his old home and explores his past again.
