Story of an old man who is in love with a young girl.

A peasant woman who cannot bear children for her husband agrees to take in a concubine as a result of pressure from her community and finds the concubine herself. The new woman is also unable to bear children. However, the first woman becomes pregnant in the meantime. A family of three from the countryside comes to Istanbul, spends all their money, and buys a janitor's job in an apartment building. However, when the building is demolished due to expropriation, the family realizes they have been swindled. The family, now in dire straits, takes refuge in a shantytown in Gültepe.
