Wanting to publish their first solo album, an up and coming rock band decides to give up on following the unwritten "Rock and Roll Code" in order to play a few cheesy love songs for the upcoming wedding of Siniša, a corrupt and violent police officer. What they don't know is that Siniša's bride-to-be is none other than Anja, the ex-girlfriend of their founder Stream, and that the ceremony won't be just a wedding, nor merely a moneymaking opportunity, but, rather, a high-stakes rescue operation, started by a reignited flame.

The story retrospectively returns to the past of the noble Lenić Remetinski family through the stories of the last descendant, old woman Amalija. The novella talks about a frequent subject of 19th century prose, which is the decline of the nobility during the industrial revolution.

Zagreb in 1942. The police blocks on of the houses while looking for one of the communist officials hiding in the apartment of young female illegal fighter. Them two manage to escape, however police kills her husband. In the house, her small baby is left, which police wants to use as a bait so they could catch them. Children who live in the neighborhood steal the baby, upon which the police starts thorough search of the house.

A new unpleasant tenant is moving into a Jewish apartment. One of the old tenants decides to scare him away with the help of the ghost of the Jewish family's patriarch.

Peasants of Slovenia and Croatia had even rougher times because of the constant threat of Turk raids and being taxed to death in order to provide defence against the Turks. But, the worst things were arrogant local feudal lords led by Franjo Tahi who were oppresing the common folk. All that led to the great peasant revolt of 1573. The movie is made for the 400th anniversary of the event.

Parallel with the seventh anniversary of peasant's cooperative farm, activity of a priest, who wants to restore the iconostasis, is followed. Local photographer intrigues - in small town in which the villagers want to become football champions.

Ivan Ivanović, a party functionary, arrives in a provincial town as a temporary replacement for a cultural official. The newcomer is fanatically eager to reform the town's cultural life in accordance with socialist ideals. He abolishes all five music societies and orders a monument of the town's most revered native, late composer Ciguli Miguli, removed from the main square. Ivanović's actions, however, meet stiff resistance from the townspeople, especially the youth.
