This comedy is about a Métro worker, Jules, who penned seventeen unanswered letters to France's Minister of Transportation protesting being fired. When he learns that the Minister is to appear in person at the Lyons station to dedicate a new rail line, Jules is there hoping to speak with him in person; he carries a concealed gun and when he is unable to speak to the Minister, the normally mild Jules snaps and takes an entire train car hostage

This film brings together in sequence shots men, animals and plants. It is an inventory of the cohabitation of living beings. Man's awareness of being alive among other living beings is diminishing. Gradually, we stopped considering animals and plants as truly alive. These cinematographic haiku tell the story of two snails crossing a road, a baby and a physiotherapist, two ripening tomatoes, a cow, a crying body, field flowers and cities.

A director has been filming his staircase which he has been climbing to the 6th floor for twenty years.

Charly, René, Katiga, Zinedine and Madeleine tell in a few minutes the story of their hands, filmed in a static shot, placed on a table that is familiar to them. Five acquaintances of the director are invited to present their hands, and nothing else, to the camera. The stories that this unconventional situation elicits reveal sensual memories and buried pain. The hands, restored to a certain independence, join, move and dance.
