18-year-old Ai loves baking, even if she's not that good at it. She dreams of some day baking the perfect pastry, until she meets Miao Miao, a shy exchange student from Japan, who happens to be sort of a pastry expert.

What is youth all about? Before they could figure out what was happening, Xiao-Bu finds herself in a cat fight with Angel over a cigarette, Ah-Mi sleeps with Xiao-Bu’s boxer boyfriend, and Angel kisses Xiao-Bu. What could be worse? Imagine living with an alcoholic father who chose nothing in life but to stare out of a window. Picture the embarrassment if bird droppings stained your clothes just as you were asking someone out on a date. All three girls fall in love, feel hurt, forget and have experiences that are as random as 17 year-old Xiao-Bu’s coin toss which decides her future relationship with Angel.

Wei-Lun is a senior high school student in Taipei. His daily life revolves around school, cram school, and home—or he’s on the way between these places. The only time he can catch his breath is during that short break between school and cram school, when he sneaks off to an internet café. He doesn't take exams very seriously, nor has he ever thought deeply about anything. He simply drifts through each day, living a monotonous and unchanging routine. The future seems distant and unreal. As long as he's with his friends, it feels like these youthful days will go on forever—doesn’t it?

This film is about instinctive solitude. At a bus stop after a rain, a boy becomes fascinated by the fragility and madness of a girl.

Yu-Hua and Guo-Wei are the perfect couple, inseparable in both work and life. When Guo-Wei proposes, Yu-Hua happily accepts, believing she has found her true partner. But the news devastates Yu-Hua’s closest friend, Shun-Fang, who has secretly loved Guo-Wei for years. When her long-hidden secret is finally revealed, the unimaginable happens—Guo-Wei reciprocates her affection. Bound by desire, a weak-willed man and a woman willing to betray her dearest friend embark on a passionate affair.
