Architect Matti picks up Ritva and her young son while on a business trip. When the car runs out of gas, the travelers are forced to spend the night at a guesthouse, pretending to be a married couple. During the night, Ritva runs away, leaving the child in Matti's care. Two Finnish PI:s are hunted by a gang specialized to counterfeit banknotes from Malaga to Finland and Mallorca and back. The counterfeit money printing plates are desperately searched by the gang and our heroes try to hide from them by travelling to Mallorca, where some of the local hoods try to kill them and retake the missing plates.

Justiina pushes Pekka and Pätkä to take painting lessons after realizing that art can be a way to earn a living. With the help of the yard children, a painting is created that wins first prize at a contemporary art exhibition. In the meantime, the men, along with their assistant Miss Kaihokielo, have been charged with art theft. After the misunderstanding is cleared up, the Puupääs use the art prize money to convert the house's bomb shelter into a children's clubroom.

St. Peter's announcement interrupts the Welcome to Morning Coffee radio program. He asks people for help because he does not know whether private detective Uljas Uriel Vaaksanpää has died or is still alive. The strange events are followed from the perspective of different characters.

Justina urges Pete and Runt to get a job. As a result they meet an orphan boy named Otto while working as a park nannies. They offer to shelter the boy, but at the same time the father Antti, who has returned from the sea, is looking for his son together with Miss Raikas.

With the help of a friendly vagrant named Maailman-Petteri and a homeless dog named Musti, Liisa prevents a burglary, and a kind police officer named Rinne and his wife help all the homeless people start a new life.

While shopping in the village, Topi hears about the upcoming parliamentary elections. His wife Riikka decides to find out more and ends up at a meeting of the Social Democrats.

"Mussu" Koikkalainen, a country boy moves to town to find a job. He finds it and is even promoted to head of complaints department. But little he knows.

Radio reporter Toivo Teräsvuori gets an idea for an experimental report using a hidden microphone, but he is reported as a madman talking to himself and is taken to the Houruniemi mental hospital. At the hospital, the volatile Toivo is considered insane, and even his wife Eila's testimony does not help the matter. Instead, Professor Piukka orders Toivo to undergo brain surgery.

Vuokko takes shelter from a thunderstorm in a fishing hut and meets a mysterious man whom she suspects is the smuggler Rompan Eetu. Instead of reporting him, Vuokko decides to follow him to Helsinki to the smugglers' hideout on the condition that he agrees to turn himself and his comrades in to the police.

The director, previously known for his lack of drive, gains energy and enthusiasm from the injection, both in his business and personal life.

With the help of his friend, Detective Inspector Erä, Harjus gets the opportunity to appear on the radio under the pseudonym Con Amore. Set in Southern Finland between 1912 and 1936. Due to his father's drunkenness, high school student Jussi Raala has lost his inheritance, the manor house and the sawmill, to the gunman Lumia. Bitter and vengeful, Jussi decides to get the property back.

February Manifesto was Yrjö Norta's and Toivo Särkkä's Finnish movie from 1939. It is a Finnish historical drama about developing independency based on book of the writer Mika Waltari. Movie Starring Tauno Palo and Regina Linnanheimo. For it's anti-soviet thematics it was banned in Finland from 1944 to 1987.
