In a universe where the Cold War never ended and growing conflicts result in the rapid advancement of technological warfare, the cyborg spy Mylene Hoffman of the 00 Organization battles the agents of the Eastern block in a game of high tech espionage.

This mystery film, directed and conceived by Yukihiko Tsutsumi, features 20 up-and-coming actors. Written by Yusuke Moriguchi ("Beautiful Dreamer," "Kohaku"), the film unfolds at the funeral of a person named "Hinata Okimura," depicting a deepening mystery as the eulogies of the 20 attendees contradict each other, unfolding in an unpredictable manner. Twenty men and women attend Hinata Okimura's funeral. According to the deceased's wishes, all attendees must deliver a eulogy. Standing before an unusual altar without a portrait, some speak as friends, others as devoted fans, and still others as fellow members of an idol group, each beginning to recount their memories of the deceased. However, the image of "Hinata Okimura" becomes increasingly distorted, even differing in gender from the person they describe, plunging the funeral into chaos.

Ippei Akabane (Takaya Kamikawa) is an unpopular novelist. He barely makes ends meet writing serials novels under different pen names. Daigo Kurei (Shinji Takeda) is on death row. He killed four women twelve years ago. During his murdering spree, he sent pictures of his decapitated victims with flower decoration to the police. The murders and photos caused widespread panic in Japan. One day, Ippei is contacted by Daigo from prison. He asks Ippei if he wants to interview him and write his memoirs. Soon, more women are killed in the same grisly manner as the serial murders from twelve years ago. Now, Ippei becomes the prime suspect of the police and Ippei must quickly find the real murderer. Shuichi had a motorcycle accident 4 years ago. Because of the accident, he lost the last year of his memory. One day, at a friend's wedding, Shuichi has a fateful meeting with Yoshimi. They enjoy happy times together and Shuichi thinks about marrying Yoshimi. Then Yoshimi becomes sick. A sad truth is hidden in the lost memory of Shuichi.

Kijima Isoroku, the easygoing president of the perpetually unprofitable Kijima Funeral Services, has a hidden side. Hired by the Kumanohara family to stop the powerful Shura Jindo-kai from encroaching on their territory, he senses major profit and joins the fight to settle past grudges with the organization.
