On September 4, 1984, democracy movement leader Kim Jong Tae is arrested and taken to an infamous interrogation facility in Namyeong-dong. For the next 22 days, he would be cruelly and continuously tortured in all manners by interrogators intent on forcing him to confess to communist collaboration.

In 1999, a robbery-murder case occurs in a small supermarket in Samnye, Jeonbuk province. The police investigation quickly narrows down to three boys from the neighborhood, and these boys are falsely accused of being murderers overnight and are imprisoned without understanding what is happening. The following year, veteran detective Hwang Joon-cheol is newly appointed as the head of Crime Investigation Division. He receives a tip about the real culprits and embarks on a reinvestigation to clear the boys' names. However, the interference of the detective responsible for the case at the time, Choi Woo-sung, leads to everything falling apart, and Hwang is demoted. Sixteen years later, the sole witness of the case and daughter of the victim, Yoon Mi-sook, and the boys return to Hwang, seeking justice...

This modest project is the product of collaboration between professional and amateur actors of all ages and the masters. The aim was to promote the city of Seoul and the harmony of old and new. The project began as a promotional event, but its cinematic quality is equal, if not superior, to any Korean films officially invited to BIFF this year. That is by no means simply being polite. This special screening is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the unique characteristics of masters experiencing a cinema renaissance in their twilight years.

In a quite mountain temple Chim-hae follows a path of asceticism under the instruction of the High Priest, Pop-yon. One day, the high priest sends him on an errand to another mountain temple known as Sowondang. Sowondang was widely renowned for the beautiful Buddhist nun, Myo-hon who lived there. On Chi,-hae's way back he spots the delightful Myo-hon in the distance. From that moment he realizes her existence is overpowering to his. Days later, his craving is fulfilled when he gets to meet her in their mist at Sowondang. They are immediately attracted to each other in this wonderful first rendezvous. However, they foresee a grim future lying ahead. While returning to his temple, Chim-hae gets lost in the mist causing great concern and confusion among the other followers. Three days later Chim-hae awakes to find himself at home in the temple after having been rescued by the monk. Known as Mubul who had found him in the mountains.

Jae-hee, who left as a college student, and Seo-ha, who got a job at a company in a local small city, are high school alumni. Seo-ha meets and loves Yoon-soo, the company's president's son, but Yoon-soo is engaged to Jae-hee, whom he met on the train, and goes to the U.S. to study. Seo Ha, who overcame his wounds and went to drug abuse in the provinces, shows a static situation, but after joining the military, he sends news of his participation in the Vietnam War. After graduating, Seo Ha gets a job at a big pharmaceutical company with the help of Yoon Soo. Seo Ha gets into a car accident in a meeting where she declares her last to Yoon-soo, who persistently wants her due to her breakdown with Jae-hee. Seo Ha, who married Jeong Tae, who returned from Vietnam, eventually died of cancer, leaving her son Young-jin behind.

Tansil, a native of Hwajeongol in the back of Jirisan Mountain, goes to the house of President Woo Man-chan in Anguk-dong, Seoul, as introduced by his relative. President Woo, who had been away from home for a long time, returns and begins to approach Tansil, who was listening to the remnants of the disabled wife. The wife, who did not notice this, intentionally forces Tansil to take care of Woo in order to catch Woo, who returned. Tansil, who was pregnant due to his relationship with President Woo, was confined to a remote apartment, eventually gave birth to a son, and returned to his hometown after losing his son to his wife.

John tries to overcome the civilization tragedy of this era by tracking the future of man, and Hyun-woo is young people who try to overcome it by tracking the human past. Between them, a woman, So-yeon, who symbolizes that only love is human salvation, intervenes and a love triangle is formed. One day, Yo-seob goes missing while flying a hang glider in Halla Mountain, and Hyun-woo and So-yeon form a family by raising Yo-seob's child, Darin. After four years, Hyun-woo and So-yeon leave for Jeju Island and reminisce about Yo-seob when they hear that Yo-seob may be alive. But Yo-seob was nowhere to be found. Hyun-woo and So-yeon head to the uninhabited island, which they considered to be an ideal island, listening to the hearing of the songs he enjoyed singing at Yo-seob's tomb. It is a movie that persistently traces the dreams, ideals, and the end of love of these three young people.

Ha Kook-jin, a physician, meets Noh Ae-ri and his group who came to broadcast at the ski resort where he went with his wife's life. With this opportunity, Kook-jin appears on Ari's radio program, is attracted to being an open divorcee living with her daughter, and eventually confesses her relationship with Ari to her wife and turns back. After being shocked, Jang-sang finally realizes the willingness to go alone by traveling with his daughter In-ae, who is studying abroad.
