The film consists of three independent parts: "Workmate", "Déjà vu" and "Operation Y". The plot follows the adventures of Shurik, the naive and nerdy Soviet student who often gets into ludicrous situations but always finds a way out very neatly.

The Second World War has ended. With the victory in Moscow, front-line friends, Antonina, Fyodor and Alexey, move into Fyodor’s huge apartment, which was empty in the first years of the war, when his wife left him. Alexey loved Antonina all his life, but when he found out that she loved Fedor, he immediately left for his homeland, and Fedor’s wife unexpectedly returned.

During World War II, the Frenchman Léon Garros and Boris Vaganov escape from the Nazi concentration camp. After 15 years, Léon, who became a journalist, and his friends came to the USSR to make a report and find Boris in the meantime. In Moscow he doesn't found, and for the sake of meeting with a friend, Garros has to travel around the country by car... The foreigners are accompanied by Nikolai, the translator, who, in turn, is looking for his brother's runaway bride, Natasha.

The film is about dramatic revolutionary events happened in 1918 in Baku.

Soldiers undertake the perilous task of removing a stockpile of World War II bombshells discovered during roadworks under the ground of a small village.

Three of them hunted a bear, but a man was accidentally killed instead. The investigation must determine which of the hunters is responsible for this death. The film consists of three short stories: “King of the Mountains” - about a giant bear; “Loyalty” is a touching love story between two storks; “The Loop” is about a proud deer.
