The boy caught a goldfish and without begging for anything, lets go. In gratitude, the goldfish decided to give the boy a new imported bicycle, which the boy had long dreamed of. And so the boy comes home with a new bike. Parents are surprised, questioned and, of course, do not believe their son. Can a goldfish give bicycles? They suspect the son of theft and deception. But finally, the boy manages to convince his parents and justify his honest name. But this fact immediately becomes the property of a small provincial town. Requests and orders rained down on the boy with immediate fulfillment of desires.

Lucy Ermakova works as a waitress in the officer's dining room of the flight garrison. Her son Valka dreams that he had a dad, and always a pilot. Lieutenant Colonel Ivchenko requires Lucy favor, because he helped her with the work, but the woman avoids it. She likes the catcher major. Once Valka runs away to the airfield and disappears. Veronika, the heroine of our story, is married to Viktor Arzaus, an investigator at the Prosecutor's Office. To the outside world, the couple appear to be happy, however, Veronika knows that her 7-year marriage is a sham. She doesn't love her husband, and when a chance meeting with Kirill Filin whose illegal activities are being investigated by Viktor, awakens her passion, Veronika is forced to choose between listening to the voice of reason and following her heart.

The action of the film takes place in a small provincial town and is divided into four short stories connected with each other by storylines.
